Broncos Week 2 Snap Counts: Waddle, Elliss and Coleman Stand Out

Denver's snap distribution against Jacksonville showed Jaylen Waddle's efficiency, Jonah Elliss leading the edge rushers and rookie Jonah Coleman's expanded role.

The Denver Broncos improved to 1-1 with a 20-13 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2, and the playing-time breakdown offered several notes on how the team is distributing snaps.

Wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, acquired by Denver in a trade involving draft picks, caught eight passes for 138 yards while playing 38 of the Broncos' 62 offensive snaps, about 61 percent.

At outside linebacker, Jonah Elliss led the group with 41 defensive snaps, ahead of Nik Bonitto's 40, Que Robinson's 19 and Dondrea Tillman's 18. Robinson recorded a sack, the first by a Broncos outside linebacker this season; the team has four sacks overall through two games.

Rookie running back Jonah Coleman, a fourth-round pick, saw extensive action with RJ Harvey out with a hamstring injury and J.K. Dobbins limited by his own hamstring issue. Coleman rushed for 39 yards, added three catches for 19 yards and scored the game-winning touchdown, the first of his professional career.

First-round cornerback Jahdae Barron remained a minimal part of the defensive rotation, playing two snaps after four in the Week 1 loss to Kansas City.
