Leverkusen Put €65m-Plus Valuation on Ibrahim Maza Amid Arsenal Interest

Arsenal are tracking the Algeria midfielder, but Leverkusen would demand roughly €65-70m plus add-ons before considering a sale.

Ibrahim Maza has emerged as an early talking point ahead of the 2027 transfer windows, with Arsenal among the clubs following the 20-year-old Bayer Leverkusen attacker. According to a report by Ekrem Konur for Fussball News, both Manchester clubs are also keeping close tabs on the player.

Manchester City are reported to be furthest along among the English suitors, with City and Atletico Madrid having already reached out to the player's representatives to stay informed. Arsenal, for their part, are said to view Maza as a midfield target for the longer term.

Leverkusen hold a strong negotiating position given that Maza remains under contract, and the Bundesliga side intend to attach a steep price to any talks. The report states the German club would enter discussions only at around €65m to €70m (roughly £55.8m-£60.4m), while also seeking bonuses tied to performance and a sell-on percentage. That stance comes despite Leverkusen having paid just €12m to sign Maza in 2025.

Since arriving, Maza has registered six goals and nine assists across 49 appearances for Leverkusen, including three goal involvements through his first five matches of the current campaign. A former Germany youth international who now represents Algeria at senior level, he has two goals and one assist in 21 caps, with all three contributions arriving during Algeria's run to the AFCON quarter-finals in late 2025. He also featured four times at the summer World Cup.
