Great Falls Prep Athlete of the Week Voting Open Through Friday

A technical glitch in last week's poll means four boys and four girls are on this week's ballot, with winners revealed in the next installment.

The Tribune's Prep Athlete of the Week poll is live again, and this round comes with an expanded field. Because a technical problem affected the previous ballot, that contest's nominees have been rolled into the current one, giving readers four girls and four boys to choose from rather than the usual two apiece.

Ballots stay open until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25. Readers can expect the results in next week's Athlete of the Week feature, and suggestions for future nominees can be emailed to sports reporter Grady Higgins at [email protected].

The boys' side features a mix of golf, cross-country, and soccer. Ryland Crane, a Great Falls High senior, placed third at the Havre Invite while helping the Bison finish third as a team. CMR freshman Grant Golik carded a 149 (69-80) to take fourth at the Billings Invite, where the Rustlers claimed the team title.

Fellow CMR golfer Jack Pinski, a senior, won the Bozeman Invite with a two-round 142 (67-75). Great Falls High senior Liam Buffington scored twice in a soccer match against Billings Skyview.
