CHSAA Football Rankings Settle as Week 5 Arrives in Colorado

Colorado's official high school football rankings show Fort Collins and Timnath among the unbeaten Northern Colorado contenders heading into Week 5.

CHSAA has released its official Colorado high school football rankings for Week 5 of the 2026 season, and the order is beginning to settle after key Class 5A matchups and a run of unbeaten starts across classifications.

Cherry Creek sits at No. 1 in 5A, though the rankings do not yet account for a retroactive forfeit against Chatfield tied to an ineligible player. Grandview, Mountain Vista, Grand Junction, Ralston Valley and Fort Collins follow, with Fort Collins among the unbeaten Northern Colorado teams at 4-0.

Broomfield (4-0) leads 4A ahead of Douglas County and Bear Creek, with Roosevelt at No. 8 and Loveland at No. 11. In 3A, Palmer Ridge holds the top spot, with Timnath (4-0) second and Pueblo County and Holy Family close behind.

Delta (5-0) is the new No. 1 in 2A, while North Fork leads 1A. In 8-man play, Simla tops the top 10, and Idalia (5-0) is the new No. 1 in 6-man football.
