The former Giants quarterback stopped talking for about 30 seconds while watching a replay of the hit that knocked Jaxson Dart out of Monday's game against the Rams.

Former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning was co-hosting ESPN's ManningCast on Monday night when Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart went down with a knee injury against the Los Angeles Rams. The normally talkative analyst stopped his banter with brother Peyton Manning almost immediately.

According to the broadcast, Eli muttered a single word and grimaced as replays of the hit were shown, then sat largely speechless for roughly 30 seconds. He later noted that Dart appeared to be hit both high and low on the play.

Dart, like Eli Manning, played college football at Ole Miss before joining the Giants. The report indicated Dart avoided a more serious injury, with a rumored recovery timeline of two to four weeks.

With Dart sidelined, backup Jameis Winston took over and completed 11 of 27 passes for 111 yards and one interception. Giants head coach John Harbaugh now faces a decision on how to handle the quarterback position in the weeks ahead.
