The Giants wide receiver revealed his right shoulder came out and back in during the first quarter of Monday night's defeat in Los Angeles.
Malik Nabers told reporters that his right shoulder became dislocated during the opening quarter of the New York Giants' 28-6 loss to the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium on Monday night, and that he reset it himself before eventually returning to the game. Additional medical testing is scheduled to determine how much harm was done.
The problem occurred near the end of the first quarter, when Jameis Winston threw a deep pass toward Nabers while he was covered by Rams cornerback Trent McDuffie. The ball fell incomplete, and Nabers left the field holding his arm in obvious discomfort. After being designated questionable, he re-entered the game early in the second quarter with the Giants already down 14-0.
Winston was playing because starter Jaxson Dart hurt his knee on New York's first possession and did not come back. Dart was hit by linebacker Byron Young and taken down low by Josaiah Stewart on a third-down rush.
The shoulder trouble follows a difficult injury history for Nabers, who sat out the final 13 games of 2025 after tearing his right ACL and meniscus in Week 4 against the Chargers. He also missed part of training camp in 2025 with a shoulder problem and dealt with shoulder issues twice while at LSU.
New York, now 1-1, plays host to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, and Nabers' availability will depend on what the upcoming tests reveal.
