Rams Rout Giants 28-6 on Monday Night Football as Injuries Pile Up

New York lost Jaxson Dart, Malik Nabers, Andrew Thomas and Brian Burns to injuries in a lopsided defeat to Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium.

The Los Angeles Rams defeated the New York Giants 28-6 on Monday Night Football at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The Rams dominated statistically, outgaining New York 439 yards to 147 late in the fourth quarter.

The loss came at a heavy cost for the Giants. Quarterback Jaxson Dart left with a knee injury and was ruled out for the rest of the game, with general manager Joe Schoen telling ESPN the quarterback is going to be okay. Receiver Malik Nabers, tackle Andrew Thomas and linebacker Brian Burns also exited with injuries. Burns hurt his ankle and was carted to the locker room in the final minute.

Jameis Winston took over at quarterback and struggled, appearing out of sync with his receivers and missing open throws despite facing light pressure. Odell Beckham Jr. saw little involvement in the game plan, while kicker Dominic Zvada accounted for the Giants' scoring.

Davante Adams was a consistent problem for the New York secondary, finishing the night with seven catches for 184 yards and a touchdown, including a scoring play against rookie cornerback Colton Hood. Matthew Stafford also lost two interceptions and a fumble across a stretch of four Rams possessions that ended in a turnover, missed field goal or punt.

Linebacker Abdul Carter recorded his first sack of the season, and safety Jevon Holland added another interception, giving him two picks and two forced fumbles through two games. New York now faces a short week before hosting the Tennessee Titans.
