Quarterback Jaxson Dart exited with a left knee injury early in Monday night's loss, and several other Giants starters were hurt in the same game.
The New York Giants suffered a wave of injuries in Monday night's 28-6 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Quarterback Jaxson Dart hurt his left knee on the opening drive, less than four minutes into the game, after taking a hit from linebacker Byron Young and a hard fall caused by Josaiah Stewart. Dart completed 3 of 5 passes for 20 yards before leaving.
Coach John Harbaugh did not confirm reports of an MCL sprain, saying an MRI was scheduled for Tuesday. Jameis Winston replaced Dart and finished 11 of 27 for 111 yards with an interception.
The Giants also lost wide receiver Malik Nabers, who dislocated his right shoulder on the second-to-last play of the first quarter while competing with Rams cornerback Trent McDuffie. Nabers returned but caught one pass for 1 yard on four targets and said he would have X-rays on Tuesday. Pass rusher Brian Burns left with a left ankle sprain after being stepped on by center Coleman Shelton, and left tackle Andrew Thomas exited in the fourth quarter with a lower-body injury.
Burns offered no timetable for Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans, saying recovery depends on how quickly the swelling subsides. Harbaugh said the team would not dwell on the injuries.
Winston, an 11-year veteran, is in line to run the offense going forward. He appeared in three games with two starts for the Giants in 2025, throwing for 567 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
