Packers' Protection Issues and Seven Drops Limiting Jordan Love Early

The Green Bay Packers are 1-1 to open the season, but quarterback Jordan Love has not gotten much help from those around him, according to a Yahoo Sports report.

In Week 1, the offensive line allowed the Minnesota Vikings to pressure Love 22 times in a 39-22 loss. The line improved in Week 2 against the New York Jets, allowing six pressures, but Love's average time to throw of roughly 2.41 to 2.45 seconds ranks last in the NFL.

Green Bay receivers have also dropped seven passes through the first two games of the 2026 season, compounding the offense's struggles.

Injuries along the offensive line have made it difficult for the Packers to field a healthy front for Love, and the team's plan going forward is unclear as injuries continue to accumulate.

Running back Josh Jacobs, who pleaded no contest to charges related to domestic violence, remains on the commissioner's exempt list and has not played for Green Bay this season.
