Djed Spence on track for Inter debut against Parma in October

The former Tottenham defender, who joined Inter for €35m this summer, is expected to be available when Serie A play resumes after the international break.

Djed Spence is closing in on his first appearance for Inter Milan. According to Gazzetta, the English defender should be available when Serie A returns from the international break.

Spence, 26, joined Inter from Tottenham on a permanent €35m transfer during the summer. Fitness issues have kept him off the field so far, and he has trained separately since arriving in Milan as he rebuilds match sharpness following a long World Cup run with England.

The plan is for Spence to continue individual work this week before rejoining his teammates. Inter coach Cristian Chivu gave the squad a full week off, with group sessions for players not on national team duty set to resume next Monday.

Spence's debut chance comes October 10, when Inter host Parma at San Siro. He has prior Serie A experience from a 2023-24 spell with Genoa, where he made 16 appearances.
