The rookie quarterback walked to the locker room after taking a hit on New York's opening drive Monday night against the Rams.
New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart left Monday night's game against the Los Angeles Rams with a knee injury and is listed as questionable to return, the team announced.
The injury occurred on the opening possession, early in the first quarter. Facing third down, Dart threw incomplete while under pressure from Rams defenders Byron Young and Josaiah Stewart. Young's high hit drove Dart into Stewart, and the quarterback's left knee struck Stewart's quad while he was airborne.
Dart stayed down on the field with 11:20 remaining in the opening quarter as players from both sidelines looked on. He was able to limp to the sideline medical tent under his own power before walking to the locker room for further evaluation.
Before exiting, Dart completed 3 of 5 passes for 20 yards. Veteran backup Jameis Winston took over at quarterback for the Giants.
