Kentucky Hosts South Alabama in Week 4 After Upsetting Texas A&M

The Wildcats welcome the 2-1 Jaguars to Kroger Field on Saturday as big favorites following their road win over the ninth-ranked Aggies.

Kentucky enters Saturday's contest at 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the SEC, fresh off a 31-21 road victory over ninth-ranked Texas A&M. It was the first significant road triumph of Will Stein's time as head coach. The Wildcats pulled away after halftime, owning a 24-14 scoring edge over the Aggies in the final two quarters.

Their Week 4 opponent, South Alabama, sits at 2-1 following a 39-14 win over Southeastern Louisiana and a 41-36 decision against Ohio, with a 28-24 loss to Tulane in between. Bishop Davenport, who opened the year as the Jaguars' starting quarterback and has thrown for 450 yards, three scores and no picks on 40-of-59 passing, sat out the Ohio game with a minor injury. Jared Hollins filled in and passed for 192 yards and a touchdown in that win. Keenan Phillips, P.J. Martin and Trae'von Dunbar headline the ground game, with Brendan Jenkins and Micah Woods among the top targets. Kentucky's roster includes a pair of former South Alabama defensive linemen in Dominic Wiseman and Tyler Thomas.

Kickoff is set for Saturday, Sept. 26 at 12:45 p.m. ET at Kroger Field in Lexington, with the SEC Network carrying the broadcast, streaming available on WatchESPN and radio coverage on the UK Sports Network. FanDuel lists Kentucky as a 21.5-point favorite, and ESPN's model gives the Wildcats a 90.4 percent chance to win.
