Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney has withdrawn from Scotland duty after being hurt in Sunday's 1-0 loss to Rangers at Celtic Park.
Celtic defender Kieran Tierney has withdrawn from the Scotland squad after picking up a knock in Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Rangers at Celtic Park.
Tierney started the Old Firm derby but came off after 71 minutes. The 29-year-old's injury history means his fitness will be watched closely at Celtic, though the international break gives him time to recover before the club resumes play in mid-October.
Scotland face Slovenia, Switzerland and North Macedonia during the break as head coach Sebastien Pocognoli continues reshaping his squad. Norwich City midfielder Kenny McLean has also withdrawn.
Pocognoli has called up Blackburn Rovers midfielder Kristi Montgomery for the first time. Montgomery, who was born in England and qualifies for Scotland through his mother, could make his senior international debut in the upcoming matches.
