CBS Sports handed Carolina its top mark of Week 2 after a road win in Atlanta built on Bryce Young's three-touchdown passing day.
CBS Sports writer John Breech awarded the Carolina Panthers an A-plus grade for their Week 2 performance, a 34-3 victory over the Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Breech called the team nearly flawless in all three phases after it had surrendered 59 points in its season opener.
The Carolina defense forced four turnovers against a struggling Atlanta offense, including a pick-six by Devin Lloyd. Quarterback Bryce Young threw for 287 yards and three touchdowns, and Breech named him the player of the game.
Two games into the 2026 season, the Panthers are averaging 35.5 points per game, second in the NFL behind Josh Allen's Buffalo Bills, and rank fifth in yardage at 409.0 per contest. Wide receiver Jalen Coker also broke off a 36-yard punt return, the first of his career.
Carolina faces a Week 3 road trip to the Cleveland Browns before hosting the Detroit Lions in a Sunday night game in Week 4 ahead of its Week 5 bye.
