No. 15 Texas A&M Volleyball Takes Four-Set Road Win Over No. 20 Creighton

The Aggies beat the Bluejays 25-17, 26-24, 23-25, 25-15 in front of a sold-out crowd at D.J. Sokol Arena for their second ranked win of the season.

No. 15 Texas A&M picked up a ranked road win Sunday, beating No. 20 Creighton in four sets at a sold-out D.J. Sokol Arena. Set scores were 25-17, 26-24, 23-25 and 25-15, moving the Aggies to 6-5 on the season and giving them their second victory over a ranked opponent this year.

Texas A&M took control early, winning the opening set comfortably before rallying from 22-18 down to claim the second. Creighton extended the match by winning the third set, but the Aggies broke open the fourth with a 10-2 run and closed it out behind a seven-point service run from Gabi Rodriguez. Texas A&M hit .500 in the final set while holding Creighton to .122 hitting for the match.

The Aggies finished with a 58-42 edge in kills and also led the Bluejays in hitting percentage, digs and aces. Kyndal Stowers led the attack with 21 kills to go with three aces and 15 digs, while Kaia Castle added 10 kills on .467 hitting with four blocks. Natalie Ring chipped in 12 kills, Kirra Musgrove distributed 44 assists and Rodriguez finished with 16 digs.

Texas A&M continues its schedule at Reed Arena, hosting Rice on Tuesday at 6 p.m. before opening SEC play at home against South Carolina on Sunday.
