Former Bills and Jaguars linebacker Paul Posluszny says Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has the leg to transition to American football as a punter or kickoff specialist.

Former Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Paul Posluszny has suggested that Bayern Munich and England striker Harry Kane could make a switch to American football, according to comments reported by Yahoo Sports.

Speaking to iPredicta, Posluszny said Kane's powerful kicking leg could translate to specific specialist roles. He pointed to punting and kickoffs as the most realistic options, while noting that field goals and extra points would be harder to master.

"I think if Harry Kane has that powerful leg, he can dedicate some time to kickoffs," Posluszny said, adding that punting or leading the kickoff team comes down to strength, power and ball placement, qualities the striker already possesses.

The remarks are purely hypothetical. Kane remains under contract at Bayern Munich, where he continues to play as a striker, and no move to the NFL has ever been suggested by the player or any club.

Kane has a longstanding connection to the NFL through matches played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the ground of his former club, which has hosted the league's International Series games in London.
