Brighton's Chema Andres Calls 3-0 Arsenal Win 'Perfect Game'

Chema Andres says Brighton's 3-0 victory over Arsenal was the 'perfect game' and a 'special' way to mark his first Premier League start. The 21-year-old midfielder joined the club on deadline day in a deal worth £15.5 million.

Andres, a former Real Madrid academy player, has now won both of his first two starts for the Seagulls. He first featured in the starting lineup for a 3-2 comeback win over Manchester United before making his league debut in the win over Arsenal.

Speaking to Radio Sussex, Andres said his side had the intensity and ability to beat a strong opponent and deserved the win. He credited the team's togetherness and commitment over the full 95 minutes.

The Spaniard noted that while friends visited him for the match, his family watched from home in Spain. He is now set to join Spain's under-21 squad for qualifiers against Finland, San Marino and Romania in Under-21 European Championship qualification.

Andres said he enjoys meeting up with his national teammates but expects the squad will be eager to return to Premier League action and build on the Arsenal result.
