Aaron Donald Returns, Rams Roll Past Giants 28-6

Aaron Donald played his first NFL game in 32 months and said his children rang him roughly 20 times on game day ahead of the matchup.

Aaron Donald was back in an NFL uniform Monday night, appearing in a game for the first time in 32 months as the Los Angeles Rams defeated the New York Giants 28-6 at SoFi Stadium.

The 35-year-old defensive tackle had been away from the league since retiring in January 2024. The Rams eased him back in with 32 defensive snaps, and he recorded three tackles, including one for a loss, while helping the defense limit New York to six points.

Afterward, Donald told ESPN's Laura Rutledge how much his family's support meant to him on the day. "It means everything," he said. "They've been excited. They called me this morning at least 20 times. They were just ready to see daddy play football."

The victory evened the Rams' record at 1-1 after a Week 1 loss to the San Francisco 49ers and marked one of the defense's strongest showings of the early season.
