Rams Roll Past Giants 28-6 as Stafford Throws Four TD Passes

Los Angeles evened its record at 1-1 behind big nights from Matthew Stafford and Davante Adams, while New York lost quarterback Jaxson Dart to a knee injury.

The Los Angeles Rams answered their season-opening loss with a 28-6 win over the New York Giants on Monday Night Football, moving to 1-1 on the year. Matthew Stafford completed 22 of 31 passes for 327 yards and four touchdowns with one interception, spreading the ball to nine different receivers.

Davante Adams took over as the top option with Puka Nacua sidelined by a hip injury and delivered eight catches for 195 yards and two touchdowns, from 31 and 11 yards. Kyren Williams and Terrance Ferguson also caught scoring passes. The Rams outgained New York 481 yards to 182.

Aaron Donald played his first NFL game since January 2024, finishing with three tackles, including a tackle for loss, and generating regular pressure. The Giants were also without starting cornerbacks Deonte Banks and Paulson Adebo.

The night turned early for New York when quarterback Jaxson Dart left with a knee injury on the opening drive after going 3 of 5 for 20 yards. NFL Network reported after the game that Dart is believed to have suffered an MCL sprain. Jameis Winston relieved and completed 11 of 27 passes for 111 yards with an interception as the Giants managed only two field goals.

Injuries mounted for the Giants, with Malik Nabers leaving briefly with a shoulder issue and Brian Burns suffering an ankle scare late. Rams cornerback Trent McDuffie, acquired from Kansas City in the offseason, held Nabers to one catch for one yard and recorded his first interception as a Ram.
