Rangers made it two major wins in a week, following a 3-0 cup victory at Ibrox with an impressive derby triumph at Parkhead. Derek McInnes kept the same personnel and formation that had served his side in the cup, while Celtic's manager Martin O'Neill opened with a 3-5-2 shape.

The visitors controlled proceedings. Rangers recorded eight shots on target to Celtic's one, and the expected goals figures underscored the gap, with Rangers at 1.3 to Celtic's 0.7.

Several individuals stood out for Rangers, including Olwethu Makanhya, Dujon Sterling, Nicolas Raskin, Dan Neil and Ryan Naderi. Naderi scored the winning goal with what was described as a fine finish, continuing his strong recent form.
