Ravens secondary unable to contain Chris Olave in Week 2 loss

Chris Olave's eight-catch day, capped by a fourth-quarter touchdown, exposed Baltimore's coverage issues against New Orleans.

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave proved a difficult problem for the Baltimore Ravens' secondary to solve in Week 2. Olave finished with eight receptions for 86 yards and caught a 21-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter at M&T Bank Stadium.

Cornerback Marlon Humphrey drew much of the assignment, with defensive back Nate Wiggins also rotating in on coverage duties against Olave. According to the report, Olave directed trash talk at Humphrey early in the game and drew a 15-yard taunting penalty in the first half before making his biggest plays later on.

Baltimore's defense was on the field for 64 plays and had trouble getting off the field on third down. Saints quarterback Tyler Shough targeted Olave in the game's key moments, working effectively within head coach Kellen Moore's offensive plan.

Humphrey and the Ravens' defensive staff, led by head coach Jesse Minter, now face a review of the film as they look to adjust their blitz approach heading into Week 3.
