The Boston Red Sox announced that Chad Tracy will remain as manager on a permanent basis, removing the interim label and signing him to a three-year contract. The deal runs through the 2029 season and includes a club option for 2030. Tracy becomes the 49th manager in franchise history.
Tracy was promoted from Triple-A Worcester after Alex Cora was dismissed with the team at 10-17. Under Tracy, the Red Sox posted a 74-55 record and secured a spot in the postseason.
