Bills, Bengals Earn Top Marks in AFC Week 2 Report Card

Buffalo and Cincinnati drew the highest grades after Week 2, while Pittsburgh's loss in New England landed the Steelers at the bottom of the conference.

Week 2 of the NFL season is complete, and Yahoo Sports handed out report card grades for all 16 AFC teams. The Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals each earned an A+ to lead the conference, while the Pittsburgh Steelers received the lowest mark at D+.

The Bills earned the top grade after a strong overall performance against the Detroit Lions in which Josh Allen ran for a touchdown. The Bengals went into Houston and beat the Texans 20-6, with Ja'Marr Chase catching a touchdown pass and scoring twice after a quiet Week 1.

The Kansas City Chiefs drew an A, with Kenneth Walker III celebrating a touchdown against Denver and offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy drawing credit for the offense. The Las Vegas Raiders moved to 2-0 and sit atop the AFC West behind solid play from Kirk Cousins, earning a B+.

At the other end, the Chargers fell to 0-2, marking the first 0-2 start of Jim Harbaugh's coaching career, for a C-. The Steelers scored only three points in a 20-3 loss at New England, converted 2 of 12 third downs, and watched Aaron Rodgers take heavy pressure from the Patriots' pass rush. The Miami Dolphins (C-) were criticized for lacking the talent to compete with top opponents such as the San Francisco 49ers.

In the AFC South, the Texans also fell to 0-2 with a C- after their defense could not contain Joe Burrow and Chase. The Jacksonville Jaguars (B) lost a close game in Denver, the Indianapolis Colts (B+) came up short against Kansas City despite a big game from Jonathan Taylor, and the Tennessee Titans (B) played better than the week before despite a conservative finish on offense.
