49ers and Seahawks Earn Top Marks as NFL Grades NFC Teams After Week 2

Week 2 report cards across the NFC put San Francisco and Seattle at the head of the class, while Atlanta landed the conference's only failing grade.

The NFL's second week produced clear separation across the NFC, with the San Francisco 49ers (A+) and Seattle Seahawks (A) drawing the highest marks. San Francisco rolled past the Miami Dolphins 35 points behind an overwhelming performance, while Seattle's fast-starting offense got three touchdowns from Jaxson Smith-Njigba.

In the NFC North, the Detroit Lions (B-) survived a scare, letting a 21-0 lead slip before winning in overtime despite two touchdowns each from Jahmyr Gibbs and Amon-Ra St. Brown. The Green Bay Packers (B-) also needed overtime, where rookie kicker Trey Smack delivered the winning points. Injuries shaped the East as well. The Philadelphia Eagles (B) won in Tennessee behind a game-winning drive from Jalen Hurts, and the Dallas Cowboys (B+) got a huge offensive day that included Dak Prescott becoming the franchise's all-time leader in passing touchdowns.

The Carolina Panthers (A) impressed with a turnover-fueled rout of division rival Atlanta, where the Falcons (F) benched quarterback Cooper Rush amid continued struggles. The New Orleans Saints (B+) rallied from a 14-3 deficit to beat Baltimore, while the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (C+) dropped a home game to Cleveland.

Elsewhere, the Rams (A-) bounced back from a rough Week 1 in Australia behind strong play from Matthew Stafford, with Davante Adams stepping up in Puka Nacua's absence. The Arizona Cardinals (C-) fell to 1-1 with a division loss to Seattle.
