Liverpool reportedly monitoring Feyenoord right-back Givairo Read

A report says Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City are tracking the 20-year-old Dutch defender, who has five assists in seven Eredivisie games.

Liverpool are keeping tabs on Feyenoord right-back Givairo Read as they search for answers at the position, according to TeamTalk. Arsenal and Manchester City are also said to be following the 20-year-old, whose strong start to the season has attracted attention across England's top clubs.

Read has five assists across seven Eredivisie appearances this term and has been an important part of Feyenoord's unbeaten run to open the campaign. A switch to England nearly happened over the summer, when Nottingham Forest tabled a bid, Everton pushed for a deal and Roma were mentioned in connection with the player, but nothing was finalized.

At Liverpool, the right-back spot has been a concern. Jeremie Frimpong has struggled for consistent form, and Andoni Iraola has deployed Ronald Araujo on the right side of defense in the club's past three league matches. Araujo is viewed by many as better suited to center-back, leaving the club's need at right-back unresolved.

TeamTalk reports that sources see Read as a possible January target, though no deal is close and any move would depend on a club acting on its monitoring. Read is currently focused on Feyenoord and the Netherlands Under-21 side, which faces Norway, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina in upcoming European Championship qualifiers.
