Club soccer will pause for 16 days as the FIFA international break runs through October 6, 2026. The window features a heavy schedule of friendlies, UEFA Nations League fixtures, Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and a Gulf Cup match.

Brazil plays three friendlies during the window: against Australia on Friday, September 25 at 7 a.m. ET, again against Australia on September 29 at 7 a.m., and against India on October 3 at 11 a.m. Argentina, in what the report describes as Lionel Messi's farewell matches, hosts Bolivia on September 30 at 5 p.m., then faces Burkina Faso on October 3 and Benin on October 6, with kickoff times still to be confirmed for the latter two.

The United States men's national team plays four friendlies. They meet Peru on September 26 at 5:30 p.m., Chile on September 29 at 9 p.m., Mexico on October 3 at 11 p.m., and Canada on October 6 at 9 p.m.

European Nations League play includes several marquee matchups, among them Netherlands vs Germany, Italy vs Belgium, Turkey vs France, England vs Spain and Belgium vs France across the window. AFCON qualifiers include Ivory Coast vs Ghana and Morocco vs Gabon, while the United Arab Emirates face Qatar in Gulf Cup play on September 30.
