Week 5 Packers-Bears Could Mark Returns of Micah Parsons and Caleb Williams

A Locked On Packers analyst floated the possibility that both sidelined stars could be back on the field when Green Bay hosts Chicago in Week 5.

Green Bay sits at 1-1 heading into its Week 3 home game against the Atlanta Falcons at Lambeau Field, with two key injury situations hanging over the team. Micah Parsons is still working back from a torn left ACL suffered last season, an injury that also involved meniscus damage and cut short his 2025-26 campaign after he had recorded 10 or more sacks in five straight seasons. Wide receiver Jayden Reed also has an uncertain status after a scary injury in Week 2.

Peter Bukowski of Locked On Packers raised the possibility on X that Parsons could be back in time for the Week 5 meeting with the 1-1 Chicago Bears. He wrote that if Parsons returns to practice in the coming week, there is an outside chance the game would feature the returns of both Parsons and Bears quarterback Caleb Williams.

Williams was hurt on a non-contact hamstring injury in the fourth quarter of a close game against Minnesota, going down as he pushed toward the end zone. A Week 5 matchup featuring both players would be a marquee NFC North storyline if their recoveries stay on schedule.

In the meantime, the Packers have gotten contributions from others on defense. Lukas Van Ness has become a significant piece of the unit and recorded 1.5 of Green Bay's three sacks in the win over the Jets. Jordan Love was not at his usual level in that game, but the defense delivered late to help close out a narrow victory.
