Leaked Locker Room Footage Shows Patriots' Post-AFC Title Celebration

Previously unseen video from January 2019 captures Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and teammates celebrating New England's AFC Championship win over Kansas City.

More than seven minutes of locker room video from the New England Patriots' AFC Championship Game victory over the Kansas City Chiefs surfaced on social media Monday. The clip, which shows scenes from inside the room after the January 2019 game, has drawn more than 4 million views on X. Its origin has not been determined.

The Patriots won that contest 37-31 in overtime on a rushing touchdown by Rex Burkhead. Brady threw two interceptions in the game, while Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes turned in a strong performance.

The footage begins with Belichick greeting players as they enter the locker room. Once there, Brady moves around the room, celebrating with and addressing nearly every individual present, according to the video.

Among the moments captured are exchanges between Brady and team owner Robert Kraft, tight end Rob Gronkowski and wide receiver Julian Edelman. In the clip, Edelman tells Brady, "I wanna play to make you great," and Gronkowski notes he had reached the Super Bowl in five of his nine NFL seasons to that point.

New England went on to defeat the Los Angeles Rams in that season's Super Bowl, the franchise's most recent championship with Brady and Belichick at the helm.
