Five Fort Collins-Area Players Nominated for Week 4 Football Honor

Nominees from Timnath, Fort Collins, Wellington and Windsor are up for the Blue FCU Player of the Week award for games played Sept. 17-19.

The Coloradoan, working with Blue Federal Credit Union, has named five finalists for its Fort Collins-area Football Player of the Week recognition covering Week 4 of the fall 2026 season. Balloting takes place each Tuesday through Thursday at coloradoan.com/sports, and the current round closes at 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 24. The winner will be revealed Sept. 25.

Timnath quarterback Jackson Craig completed 6 of 8 throws for 143 yards and three scores as the Cubs beat Niwot 49-0 in a game decided early, improving to 4-0. Fort Collins tight end and linebacker Donovan Dumas recorded a team-best nine tackles, one behind the line, plus an interception, and added six receptions for 123 yards and a touchdown in the Lambkins' road victory over Erie.

Wellington running back and kick returner Brayton Meglen rushed 21 times for 247 yards and five touchdowns, four of them before halftime, in a 56-7 rout of Strasburg. Fort Collins wide receiver Preston Mozer caught seven passes for 167 yards and two touchdowns, one covering 82 yards, as his squad stayed undefeated with a 56-9 decision.

Windsor quarterback Robert Trotter Jr. helped the Wizards earn their first victory of the year, a 42-0 shutout of Skyline, by going 11 of 14 for two touchdowns through the air while adding a rushing score on 20 yards.
