Werder Bremen defender Julian Malatini is finally set to join FC Cincinnati on a one-year loan after a series of administrative delays, according to BILD.
The move was announced in early September, but the Argentine remained with Bremen's training group last week while obstacles, including the absence of a work permit, held up his departure. BILD reports all documents have now been signed and Malatini is scheduled to fly to the United States on Wednesday.
Malatini is not the only Cincinnati arrival affected by visa issues. Czech-born full-back David Doudera, another of the club's signings, has also been waiting on a work visa.
FC Cincinnati currently sits ninth in the MLS Eastern Conference with 33 points from 27 matchdays.
