Estevao Pushes Back on Talk He Is Unhappy at Chelsea

The Brazilian winger says he is focused on training and trusting his process amid questions over his limited minutes this season.

Chelsea winger Estevao has rejected suggestions that he is frustrated with his role at the club this season. Speaking to ESPN in Brazil while on international duty, the teenager addressed reports about his playing time.

"I think every coach has their own way of playing. Of course, we work every day, I give my best every day, and that's what I do. We have quality players at Chelsea, so what I do is focus on what I can control," Estevao said.

He added that he tries to make the most of every opportunity in training and in matches. "I leave it in God's hands, and I trust myself a lot, too," he said.

The comments come during an international break in which Chelsea players have faced regular questioning from local media. Estevao's remarks point to a willingness to stay patient as he waits for a regular starting role.
