Arsenal Held Again at Home as Late Holmberg Goal Rescues Point

Smilla Holmberg's 95th-minute equalizer earned Arsenal a 1-1 WSL draw with Manchester United, while Tottenham routed Crystal Palace 7-0.

Arsenal's struggles in front of goal continued on Saturday as they were held to a 1-1 home draw by Manchester United in the Women's Super League. Smilla Holmberg salvaged a point with a 95th-minute equalizer after Arsenal had trailed.

It marked a second home draw in two weeks for the Gunners, who had also failed to break down Crystal Palace at Meadow Park earlier this month. Manager Renée Slegers said the issues were varied rather than isolated.

"It's not one thing, it's a combination of things," Slegers said, citing decision making, technical execution and ruthlessness in front of goal. She added that the players are motivated to deliver for the club.

Elsewhere in the league, Tottenham maintained their strong start to the season with a 7-0 rout of Crystal Palace. Manchester City beat Liverpool 4-2 in another of the weekend's fixtures.
