Penta and Trick Williams Punch Money in the Bank Tickets on WWE TV

Two Money in the Bank qualifiers were settled this week, while Sami Zayn retained his title and L.A. Knight lined up a heavyweight championship shot against Roman Reigns.

WWE's week was headlined by two Money in the Bank qualifying matches. Penta opened Monday Night RAW in San Antonio with a promo that drew out Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh, then won his qualifier later in the night after a segment that included a pointed remark about Rey Mysterio.

Trick Williams claimed the other qualifying spot on Friday, defeating Randy Orton and Rey Fenix in a three-way match. Williams hit his Trick Shot finisher on Orton to seal the victory, with Lil Yachty at ringside.

On the championship front, Sami Zayn successfully defended against Kevin Owens on SmackDown. The match came together after a heated in-ring exchange between Zayn and Nick Aldis, with Owens among those who came out to stake a claim. CM Punk appeared after Zayn's win, dropping Zayn with a GTS and setting up an expected rematch.

L.A. Knight has been announced as Roman Reigns' challenger for the WWE Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank in New Orleans, and he addressed the matchup in a promo this week. Elsewhere, Chad Gable, who beat Dragon Lee for the Intercontinental Championship on RAW the previous week, did not appear on this week's show.

Jacob Fatu and the Usos called out Royce Keys and the OTMs on RAW after last week's attack, but the group instead set a car on fire and warned that nobody is safe.
