Brewers Visit Phillies to Open Final Week of MLB Season

Milwaukee, owners of baseball's best record at 98-58, begin a three-team road series in Philadelphia on Monday with the playoffs approaching.

The Milwaukee Brewers (98-58) open the final week of the 2026 MLB regular season Monday night against the Philadelphia Phillies (86-70) at Citizens Bank Park. First pitch is set for 5:40 p.m. ET. The game could serve as a preview of a National League Division Series matchup.

Milwaukee sends right-hander Dustin May to the mound as the club closes a nine-game road trip. May carries a 5.40 ERA across eight starts since joining the Brewers and has failed to pitch past the fourth inning in two of his last three outings. He has faced only two hitters in Philadelphia's lineup, who have one combined hit against him.

The Phillies counter with Zack Wheeler, who has worked seven innings in each of his last two starts, including a scoreless outing against Washington in which he allowed four hits and struck out five. Every Brewers hitter has seen Wheeler at least three times except Cooper Pratt and Luis Lara.

Philadelphia holds the third National League wild card spot, four games ahead of Arizona, though it has not yet clinched a postseason berth. The Phillies are 4-6 over their last 10 games after splitting a series with the New York Mets.
