The Green Bay Packers take a 1-2 record to Florida this weekend for a Week 4 meeting with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. The player list published ahead of the game, complete with jersey numbers and roster statuses, shows a team navigating a series of roster designations.
Green Bay opened the season on Sept. 13 with a 39-22 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The Packers answered in Week 2, edging the New York Jets 20-17 in overtime, before the Atlanta Falcons handed them a 35-14 defeat on Thursday, Sept. 24. That stretch leaves Green Bay at 1-2 heading into the trip to Tampa.
Jordan Love, listed with seven years of experience out of Utah State, wears No. 10 and is one of two quarterbacks on the 53-man roster. The other is Tyrod Taylor (No. 6), a veteran in his 16th season from Virginia Tech. Kedon Slovis (No. 17), who played at BYU, is the quarterback assigned to the practice squad.
The backfield looks different because Josh Jacobs, who wears No. 8, is on the commissioner exempt list rather than the active roster. Kaleb Johnson (No. 26, Iowa), Chris Brooks (No. 30, BYU) and MarShawn Lloyd (No. 32, USC) are the running backs on the 53-man squad. Pierre Strong Jr. (No. 22) covers the position from the practice squad.
At wide receiver, the active roster features Christian Watson (No. 9), Matthew Golden (No. 0), Bo Melton (No. 16), Skyy Moore (No. 23) and rookie J. Michael Sturdivant (No. 87), while Jayden Reed (No. 11) sits on injured reserve. Tight ends include Tucker Kraft (No. 85), Josh Whyle (No. 81), Jonnu Smith (No. 18) and Mark Redman (No. 86). Luke Musgrave (No. 88) remains on the physically unable to perform list, and Savion Williams (No. 83) is on injured reserve with a designation to return.
On defense, edge rusher Micah Parsons (No. 1) and tackle Jordon Riley (No. 97) are on the reserve/PUP list, while rookie end Dani Dennis-Sutton (No. 51, Penn State) is among the first-year players on the active roster. Linebacker Zaire Franklin (No. 44) brings nine seasons of experience and defensive tackle Javon Hargrave (No. 98) is in his 11th year. Tackle Warren Brinson (No. 91) is on injured reserve, and end Collin Oliver (No. 45) is designated for return.
Up front, the offensive line includes long-tenured guards Kevin Zeitler (No. 70, 14 seasons) and Laken Tomlinson (No. 72, 12 seasons) alongside Aaron Banks (No. 65) and rookie Jacob Monk (No. 62). On special teams, rookie kicker Trey Smack (No. 28, Florida), punter Daniel Whelan (No. 19) and long snapper Matt Orzech (No. 42) hold the listed jobs. Practice-squad kicker Lenny Krieg (No. 38), listed with no college, is part of the International Player Pathway program.
The schedule does not lighten after Tampa Bay. Green Bay hosts Chicago on Oct. 11 and Dallas in a 7:20 p.m. game on Oct. 18, then visits Detroit on Oct. 25 and hosts Carolina on Thursday, Oct. 29. A trip to New England on Nov. 8 and a home game against Minnesota on Nov. 15 precede the bye week on Nov. 22. The post-bye slate opens at the Los Angeles Rams on Nov. 25 and runs through December games at New Orleans, home dates with Buffalo and Miami, and a Christmas Day visit to Chicago, with Houston coming to Green Bay on Jan. 4 and a Detroit matchup still awaiting a date.
The Buccaneers game is set for Sunday, Oct. 4, at 1 p.m. EDT at Raymond James Stadium, with the broadcast on FOX.
