Lewis Hamilton has expressed hope that Formula One will be able to finish its season with the two rounds scheduled in Qatar and Abu Dhabi, despite uncertainty caused by the war in the Middle East.
Speaking ahead of this weekend's Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the Ferrari driver said he enjoys visiting the region and trusts the sport to reach the right decision. Both races could still be cancelled, however, and unease has been reported among many in the paddock about competing in the region while the conflict continues.
Formula One is proceeding with its original calendar plan, but a contingency is understood to be in place that would move a final round to Imola if both Middle East meetings are called off.
