Four Team Vasileus kickboxers trained in front of the media at Vasileus Gym in Tokyo on Tuesday, September 29, ahead of ONE SAMURAI 4. The event will be broadcast live from Ariake Arena in Tokyo on Saturday, October 17. Former ONE interim featherweight kickboxing world champion Masaaki Noiri, former K-1 champions Yuki Yoza and Shintaro Matsukura, and two-division RISE champion Toki Tamaru all took part.
Noiri enters the event with the highest stakes among the four. The 33-year-old meets Mohammad Siasarani in the semifinals of the ONE SAMURAI Featherweight Kickboxing Tournament, with a spot in the final on the line. His record stands at 52-14, including 28 wins by stoppage.
The Japanese striker won his interim belt in March 2025 with a knockout of Tawanchai PK Saenchai, a former ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion. A unification attempt against Superbon ended in defeat last November. Noiri then avenged an earlier loss to Liu Mengyang in the quarterfinal round, and winning the whole competition would earn him another fight with Superbon for the undisputed title.
Yoza has made a fast rise through the bantamweight kickboxing ranks since arriving in ONE Championship. The 28-year-old former K-1 champion is 23-3 and relies on heavy calf kicks as a signature weapon. After beating Elbrus Osmanov in his promotional debut in May 2025, he defeated former ONE world champions Petchtanong Petchfergus and Superlek before a five-round title fight against Jonathan Haggerty at ONE SAMURAI 1 in April ended in defeat.
He answered that setback with a unanimous decision over Ben Woolliss at The Inner Circle 22 in July. At ONE SAMURAI 4 he faces Nabil Anane, a former ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion, in a bout that could put him back in the title picture.
Matsukura, 34, will make his first ONE Championship appearance after a career built on the Japanese scene. The veteran brings 38 victories and a trophy list that includes the inaugural KNOCK OUT Black Super Middleweight Title and the K-1 Middleweight Championship. His assignment is a lightweight kickboxing bout with Sinsamut Klinmee, twice a challenger for the ONE lightweight Muay Thai world title, with the kickboxing belt of two-sport champion Regian Eersel as a longer-term goal.
Tamaru, the youngest of the group at 24, outpointed Toma Kuroda by unanimous decision in his first ONE Championship appearance at ONE SAMURAI 1. Next comes a strawweight kickboxing matchup against fellow Japanese fighter Shoma Okumura, and a second straight victory would build on that opening result.
ONE SAMURAI 4 is set for Ariake Arena in Tokyo on Saturday, October 17, and airs live. The bill includes Noiri's tournament semifinal against Siasarani, Yoza's meeting with Anane, Matsukura's promotional debut opposite Sinsamut, and Tamaru's bout with Okumura.
