Seahawks Hold Top Spot in Week 3 NFL Power Rankings

The reigning champion Seahawks stayed at No. 1 after two weeks, with the Chiefs, Bills, 49ers and Rams rounding out the top five.

Following the conclusion of Week 2 in the 2026 NFL season, Yahoo Sports published its Week 3 power rankings of all 32 teams. Seattle, the defending Super Bowl winner, kept the No. 1 position it held a week ago. Kansas City, Buffalo, San Francisco and the Rams complete the top five.

Seattle's defense has surrendered the league's second-fewest points, trailing the leader by a single point, and Drew Lock turned in a solid Week 2 showing against a weak opponent. Kansas City needed overtime to win but sits far healthier than at this stage last year. Josh Allen has produced nine touchdowns without a turnover across two victories and is the +250 betting favorite for MVP, well ahead of Patrick Mahomes at +750.

San Francisco paces the league in both DVOA and point differential, while the Rams rebounded from their opening loss, helped by a Jaxson Dart injury, after losing Myles Garrett to injured reserve. Further down the list, Minnesota limited Chicago to three points one week after the Bears scored 59, and Las Vegas is 2-0 for the first time since 2021.

Among the notable movers, Houston fell from No. 8 to No. 13 after managing only six points against Cincinnati at home, and the Giants dropped following a lopsided primetime defeat that included several injuries beyond Dart's uncertain status.
