Raines Extends Regular-Season Win Streak to 30 With Win Over Mandarin

The Vikings' 31-13 victory on Sept. 18 keeps multiple historic streaks alive for Jacksonville's Raines High School football program.

Raines High School defeated Mandarin 31-13 on Sept. 18 at the Graveyard, pushing the Vikings' regular-season winning streak to 30 games. The run spans five wins this season, nine in 2025, nine in 2024, and the final seven games of 2023.

Daytona Beach Mainland was the last team to beat Raines in a regular-season game, doing so on Sept. 15, 2023. Raines has also gone 1,427 days without a loss to a Duval County public school, dating to a defeat against Jackson on Oct. 27, 2022.

The Vikings' overall winning streak across all games now stands at 19, including a 14-0 FHSAA Class 3A championship season last fall. Raines' remaining chances to extend the Duval public-school streak this year come against Riverside on Oct. 16 and Ribault on Oct. 31, plus any FHSAA postseason games.

The region's record remains far off. Union County, coached by Robby Pruitt, won 52 straight games from 1994 through 1997, the longest winning streak in Florida state history. Jackson posted 20 consecutive unbeaten games against Duval public schools from 1932 to 1934, though that run included five ties.
