Drake London of the Atlanta Falcons led the list of fantasy football winners from Week 3 of the NFL season, according to Yahoo Sports' weekly review. With Michael Penix back at quarterback, London turned a team-high 10 targets into nine catches for 194 yards against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night. He had managed just six receptions for 80 yards across the first two weeks.
Jaylen Warren of the Pittsburgh Steelers took firm control of the backfield with Rico Dowdle out. Warren rushed 17 times for 127 yards and added three catches for 49 yards, giving him 20 of the 22 total touches by Steelers running backs. The position's remaining work consisted of two carries, and no Pittsburgh back saw a target in the passing game.
Rashee Rice of the Kansas City Chiefs kept moving past a rough season opener. One week after a four-catch, 83-yard performance in an overtime shootout against Indianapolis, Rice caught seven passes for 88 yards on nine targets. The report views Patrick Mahomes' top wide receiver as a possible WR1 by the end of the season.
The Jacksonville Jaguars' offseason debate between Bhayshul Tuten and Chris Rodriguez Jr. keeps tilting toward Tuten. He ran for 73 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries and caught two passes for 17 yards, while Rodriguez posted 37 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. It marked the third straight game in which Tuten handled more touches.
Sam Darnold of the Seattle Seahawks returned to face the Washington Commanders and threw for 379 yards and four touchdowns, though two interceptions contributed to a defeat. The analysis highlighted his rapport with Jaxson Smith-Njigba while noting a difficult schedule ahead for Seattle.
Drake Maye of the New England Patriots landed among the losers after another multi-interception game and minus-0.44 EPA per play. The report tied his decline to the Week 1 loss of wide receiver A.J. Brown and a thin supporting cast, questioned whether a Super Bowl hangover is at play, and noted the offense was elite last season.
C.J. Stroud of the Houston Texans also struggled, completing 16 of 27 passes for 167 yards and one touchdown against Indianapolis. His 5.7 yards per pass attempt compared with the 12.2 and 7.9 the Colts had allowed in their first two games, and the Colts entered the week 32nd in the league at 0.27 defensive EPA per play. Houston fell to 0-3.
Tetairoa McMillan of the Carolina Panthers posted two catches for 17 yards on five targets despite a favorable game script. Bryce Young attempted 48 passes for 291 yards, and wide receiver Jalen Coker left early with an injury, yet the Panthers' top wideout was barely involved.
Geno Smith of the New York Jets threw for 321 yards and three touchdowns on 31-of-37 passing but was listed as a loser because running back Breece Hall and wide receiver Garrett Wilson were hurt in Week 3, with the extent of their injuries unknown. Los Angeles Chargers running back Omarion Hampton rounds out the list, losing touches to Keaton Mitchell, who scored a red-zone touchdown, and Kimani Vidal while the offense struggles as a whole.
