Former UFC bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley has picked Payton Talbott to beat Deiveson Figueiredo in the UFC 332 co-main event, scheduled for Oct. 3 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. The bantamweight bout streams on Paramount+.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, O'Malley praised Talbott's potential and his recent showing against Henry Cejudo at UFC 323, which O'Malley described as an impressive performance. Talbott (11-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) enters the fight having dropped just one bout in the promotion.
Figueiredo (25-7-1 MMA, 14-7-1 UFC) has struggled recently, losing four of his past five outings, including defeats to Song Yadong and Umar Nurmagomedov. O'Malley said he questions whether the 38-year-old still wants to compete, while acknowledging the Brazilian remains dangerous.
Oddsmakers agree with O'Malley's read: FanDuel lists Talbott as a heavy -650 favorite, with Figueiredo a +440 underdog.
