Former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson will now face Olympic wrestler Mahmoud Sebie on Saturday in Miami after Kenzo Biyong withdrew.
Tony Ferguson's first defense of his Misfits Boxing middleweight title will go ahead with a new opponent. Misfits Boxing announced that Kenzo Biyong, a former soccer player, pulled out of the Sept. 26, 2026 bout at the James L. Knight Center in Miami due to travel complications.
Stepping in on four days' notice is Mahmoud Sebie, 34, who wrestled Greco-Roman for Egypt at the 2016 Rio Olympics in the 75-kilogram division. He later moved into MMA, posting a 6-3 record with fights in Bellator and the PFL.
Ferguson, 42, left the UFC after a record-setting eight-fight skid but has revived his career in boxing. He stopped Salt Papi in the third round of his Misfits debut in August 2025 and beat Warren Spencer by unanimous decision four months later to claim the vacant middleweight title, improving to 2-0 as a pro boxer.
Both men recently competed under the Real American Freestyle banner and lost by identical 10-0 technical-fall scores, Sebie to Zahid Valencia in February and Ferguson to Arman Tsarukyan in June. Takedowns will not be permitted in this weekend's boxing contest.
The card is headlined by former two-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo's professional boxing debut against actor Wanna Walton. The event streams live on DAZN.
