Italy's Sunday sports papers link Endrick with Milan and Roma, detail a possible €100m Real Madrid bid for Kenan Yildiz, and report FIGC turmoil before Italy host Turkiye.
Transfer speculation dominated Italy's Sunday sports newspapers. La Gazzetta Sportiva reports that Gerry Cardinale is preparing a January move for Real Madrid forward Endrick, who has found playing time scarce at the Spanish club. The paper says Jose Mourinho blocked a transfer during the summer window.
Corriere dello Sport carries a rival version under the headline 'Endrick waits for Roma.' According to that report, the Brazilian sees no way into the team at Real Madrid and is drawn to the prospect of working with Gian Piero Gasperini, who pursued him over the summer.
The same paper leads on Kenan Yildiz, tied to Juventus until 2030 but with a future that could hinge on Champions League qualification. Corriere reports that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is studying a summer offer worth €100 million, with Arsenal and Bayern Munich also keen. Another season outside the Champions League, the paper writes, would force Juventus into a major sale, with Alajbegovic already at the club as a potential successor.
Tuttosport gave three hours of its newsroom to Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti, who said he feels '250 million of responsibility' and described Yildiz as 'a leader' who 'resembles Kvara.' Spalletti said the club measures itself against its own standards rather than its rivals. He also described himself as free and happy in the job and promised supporters they would be proud of the team.
Corriere additionally reports that Inter coach Chivu has promised his squad will make an impact, telling the paper that winning the Champions League is 'the dream.' In the same edition, Fabio Paratici is said to be preparing a January move for Lecce defender Tiago Gabriel, with Fiorentina as the intended destination.
Off the field, La Gazzetta Sportiva says CONI will vote Tuesday on Malago at a meeting filled with tension. UEFA has warned that if a commissioner is installed at the FIGC, immediate elections must follow or there will be no European Championship. Buonfiglio, meanwhile, faces conflict-of-interest questions because his son is an executive with the Kings League.
The national team features across all three papers. Italy followed a 4-1 win in Bursa with a 1-1 draw in Paris, a match Tuttosport says drew 8 million television viewers. Donnarumma and his teammates were pictured in the aftermath of the draw in France, and another 25,000 tickets have already been sold for Monday's meeting with Turkiye at the Dall'Ara in Bologna.
Roberto Mancini has handed debuts to 64 players across his 64 matches in charge, Corriere notes, with Kayode, Vergara and Seba Esposito the newest additions to the group. A Napoli talent among them told the paper, 'We're looking for enjoyment and happiness.' Six or seven changes are expected against Turkiye, with Barella returning. La Gazzetta Sportiva, for its part, sees a route to the quarter-finals built on Mancini and goalkeeper Donnarumma.
Next on the Global Sportscast schedule, Real Madrid travel to Barcelona on Sunday, October 4. Kickoff is set for 1:00 PM EDT at Spotify Camp Nou.
