Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kyler Murray has cleared concussion protocol and is expected to play in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium, according to Yahoo Sports.
Murray was hurt early in the season opener against Green Bay and has not played since. Backup Carson Wentz guided the Vikings to wins in his place, including a 39-22 comeback over the Packers in Week 1 and a 9-3 road win over the Chicago Bears in Week 2.
Minnesota's defense has carried the team through two weeks. Coordinator Brian Flores' unit held the Bears, who scored 59 points in their opener, to just a field goal. Will Reichard supplied all the scoring with three field goals.
Tampa Bay enters the game 0-2 under head coach Todd Bowles. Baker Mayfield has completed 71.0 percent of his passes for 398 yards, one touchdown and one interception, but the Bucs are allowing 28.0 points per game.
