Back with La Roja for the first time since early in the year after missing Spain's World Cup-winning summer campaign through injury, the 23-year-old was recalled by coach Luis de la Fuente in recognition of his strong start to the season at club level.
Training is underway ahead of Spain's Nations League meeting with England this weekend. During a shooting drill, López found the net and turned toward a group of teammates before mimicking a golf swing as his celebration.
The gesture matched the one Atlético Madrid's Alejandro Grimaldo used after opening the scoring in his side's derby victory over Real Madrid, whose squad included Dean Huijsen and Marc Cucurella, this past weekend.
