Aces Host Fever in WNBA Playoffs Game 1: TV Channel and Start Time

Las Vegas hosts Indiana on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 4 p.m. ET on ABC in Game 1 of their first-round WNBA Playoff series at Michelob ULTRA Arena.

The WNBA Playoffs' first round opens Sunday with a matchup between the No. 3 seed Las Vegas Aces and the No. 6 seed Indiana Fever. Game 1 is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 27, at Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas, with tipoff set for 4 p.m. ET. The clubs could meet as many as three times over the coming week, with venues alternating between Las Vegas and Indiana.

ABC will carry the national broadcast of the opener. Streaming options include fubo, DirecTV and the ESPN app. Fubo gives new subscribers a free trial and provides access to ESPN, ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC and more than 100 live channels of television and sports on participating plans.

Las Vegas enters the series as the reigning WNBA champion, with three titles in the past four seasons. A championship this fall would deliver consecutive crowns for the franchise. Four-time league MVP A'Ja Wilson anchors the roster.

Indiana qualified as the No. 6 seed and opens the series on the road. Caitlin Clark enters the playoffs at full strength, with Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston serving as reliable contributors alongside her. The Fever have come up short in their recent championship pursuits and are chasing that goal again this postseason.

The series shifts to Indiana for Game 2 on Tuesday, Sept. 29. That game is set for 6:30 p.m. ET and will be carried on Prime, the second national platform used by the series. It is the only contest currently scheduled for the Fever's home floor.

If the teams split the first two games, a decisive Game 3 would be played in Las Vegas on Thursday, Oct. 1. A tipoff time and broadcast assignment for that game have not been announced. Whichever team wins that contest would take the series.

Because Games 1 and 3 are both scheduled for Las Vegas, Indiana would need at least one road victory to claim the series. Las Vegas, by contrast, can advance with two wins on its own floor. Under the announced schedule, the matchup cannot run past Oct. 1.

The Aces and Fever are one of four first-round pairings. Elsewhere in the bracket, the No. 1 Lynx face the No. 8 Liberty, the No. 2 Valkyries meet the No. 7 Wings, and the No. 4 Dream take on the No. 5 Mystics. Each first-round winner moves into the next round, where the field will shrink from eight teams to four.

For Las Vegas, Sunday marks the first step in a bid for a second consecutive championship. For Indiana, it is an early opportunity to knock off the reigning champion on the road. With no more than three games possible, the opening result carries added importance.
