CBS holds seven of the 13 Sunday afternoon games in NFL Week 3 and Fox six, with Bills-Chargers in the early window and Ravens-Cowboys in Rio de Janeiro leading the late window.
Week 3 of the 2026 NFL season features a 13-game Sunday afternoon slate, with CBS and Fox dividing the broadcast rights nearly in half. CBS carries seven of those games and Fox six, an exact reversal of the split the two networks had a week earlier. Regional coverage maps, compiled by 506 Sports, lay out which of those games each area of the country receives on Sunday.
The networks are structured differently across the day. CBS will broadcast in both the early- and late-afternoon windows, while Fox is limited to one game per region, so each area gets either an early or a late contest on Fox rather than one of each.
Five games make up CBS's early window: the Cincinnati Bengals at the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Kansas City Chiefs at the Miami Dolphins, the Tennessee Titans at the New York Giants, the New England Patriots at the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Houston Texans at the Indianapolis Colts.
CBS's late window is led by the Baltimore Ravens against the Dallas Cowboys in Rio de Janeiro, the latest stop on the league's international schedule. The game is not being carried as a stand-alone broadcast; it sits inside the regular late-afternoon window and is set to reach nearly the entire country. Both teams are considered playoff contenders, and barring a tie the loser will leave the game at 1-2. CBS's other late assignment is the Las Vegas Raiders at the New Orleans Saints.
Fox's early coverage centers on the Los Angeles Chargers at the Buffalo Bills, the game the network's Week 3 schedule is largely built around. The stakes run in opposite directions for the two clubs: the Chargers are trying to avoid an 0-3 start, while the Bills are looking to move to 3-0.
Three further games fill Fox's early slot: the New York Jets at the Detroit Lions, the Seattle Seahawks at the Washington Commanders and the Carolina Panthers at the Cleveland Browns. Regional assignments determine whether a market sees one of those games or the Bills-Chargers matchup.
Fox's late window holds two games: the Minnesota Vikings at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Arizona Cardinals at the San Francisco 49ers. Those contests air in the regions that are not assigned a Fox early game under the one-game-per-region limit.
Beyond the afternoon windows, Week 3 includes a Sunday Night Football matchup between the Denver Broncos and the Los Angeles Rams, a game the league has placed in the Sunday prime-time slot. That contest falls outside the Fox and CBS regional windows.
The week follows a costly stretch for several prominent players. Quarterbacks Jayden Daniels, Jaxson Dart and Caleb Williams were among the notable players who suffered significant injuries in Week 2, and their teams will be hoping Week 3 is kinder to them.
