Bill Guerin has reportedly signed a multi-year contract extension to remain the Minnesota Wild's general manager, according to ESPN's Emily Kaplan.
Guerin, 55, became the Wild's fourth general manager in 2019. He received a previous extension in 2023 that added the title of president of hockey operations.
Minnesota went 46-24-12 last season, finishing third in the Central Division with 104 points, the third-best total in the Western Conference. Guerin was named the NHL's general manager of the year afterward.
The Wild acquired defenseman Quinn Hughes from Vancouver in a blockbuster trade during the 2025-26 season, and Hughes is currently in negotiations with the club on an extension of his own.
Minnesota has reached the playoffs in six of Guerin's seven seasons but has won only one playoff series, a first-round victory over Dallas last April. The Wild open the season Oct. 1 in Nashville.
