UFC veteran Bryce Mitchell lays out his flat Earth views in new video

The UFC fighter says his belief in a flat Earth is grounded in his reading of the Bible and distrust of government, explaining his reasoning on social media.

UFC veteran Bryce Mitchell has released a video on social media outlining his belief that the Earth is flat, saying he now considers the idea knowledge rather than belief.

Mitchell, 31, said his view is based on his reading of the Bible, arguing that scripture describes an Earth with ends, an up and down represented by Heaven and Hell, and a planet that does not move.

In the video, Mitchell used a glass bowl to represent the firmament and what he called a pilot's map to show the Earth's appearance from above. He also claimed a magnetic black rock at the North Pole explains why compasses point north, including near what he described as the ice wall at the plane's perimeter.

Mitchell said he believes magnetic energy could be converted into electricity and suggested past civilizations did so. He added that hidden knowledge is being used to conceal God's word from people.

Mitchell has previously been open about his religious faith and his distrust of government and scientific institutions.
