Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. has barely been involved in the offense through two weeks of the 2026 NFL season. The 24-year-old, taken fourth overall in the 2024 draft out of Ohio State, has one reception on four targets despite playing 77 percent of the team's offensive snaps.
Harrison caught one pass for 33 yards on three targets in a Week 1 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. In Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks, the reigning Super Bowl champions, he was thrown to only once in a loss that dropped Arizona to 1-1.
First-year head coach Mike LaFleur, speaking to Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk, said he is not concerned. He noted that only two games have been played and that some chances to get Harrison the ball on Sunday were taken away by the defense or lost to the team's own mistakes, in roughly equal measure.
LaFleur also pushed back on any criticism of Harrison's play, saying the receiver's running style differs from others and that his teammates do not share the negative narrative.
Tight end Trey McBride has instead been the focal point of the passing game, with 23 targets, 136 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Kendrick Bourne has added 86 yards on 11 targets.
